OverviewThe department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2010 with a sanctioned intake of 30.Civil engineering is considered as one of the oldest engineering discipline in Sri Sai University. Civil Engineering involves planning, designing and executing structural works.
Buildings and bridges are often the first constructions that come to mind, as they are the most conspicuous creations of structural engineering, one of civil engineering's major sub-disciplines. Roads, railroads, subway systems, and airports are designed by transportation engineers, another category of civil engineering. Civil engineering is an exciting profession because at the end of the day you can see the results of your work, whether this is a completed bridge, a high-rise building, a subway station, or a hydroelectric dam.
Board of Studies (BOS) Committee regularly meets to decide the change in the structure of the syllabi and its contents as per the current needs.
DEPARTMENTAL FACILITIES:- The department has highly developed laboratory facilities and infrastructure.
- Proximity makes students more exposed to the industrial activities in real time.
- Constructions of nearby industrial area make students exposed to the field work in Civil Engineering at their door steps.
- Department is having advanced engineering software like Auto Cad, STAAD, SAP 2000, Primavera. Students are exposed to these software’s to the proficiency level.
- In support to the infrastructural Development , Civil Engineering Department provides consultancy services to the industry and students are also involved in this process.

Diploma Courses(1 Year):
- Diploma in Disaster management ( 1 year Program after +2)
- Diploma in civil Engineering (3 year Program after +2)
Undergraduate Courses(B.Tech 4 Year):
- B.Tech. Civil Engineering (4 Years)/(Lateral entry – 3 Year Program)
Postgraduate Courses(M.Tech (Regular/ Part Time- 2/3 years)):
- M.Tech.(Regular and Part –Time) in Civil Engineering (2 years/ 3 Year Program)
Doctoral Program (3 to 5 years):
- PhD in Civil Engineering (3- 6 year Program)
